Description
There are two typical blades that most microtrenching attachments use: conical or polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC).
A conical blade rotates in a holder and functions like a traditional rock saw. Conical bits generally are more affordable, but they have a limited lifespan. Most will be effective through several hundred feet, meaning contractors will need to replace them daily.
PDC blades are becoming more popular because they have a cleaner cut and can last more than 10,000 feet before needing to be replaced. PDC blade usually comes in two different sizes of cut: 1-inch (2.54-cm) cut or 1.5-inch (3.81-cm) cut.
Micro-trencher capable of meeting target depth and width in a single pass with an integral hood and associated vacuum system. Selection of cutting wheel shall be such that damage to the adjacent roadway surface is minimized, therefore PDC blades are preferred to conical blades.
We supply the PDC teeth on the saw blade, it can be customized to fit your blade design.
